Thanks to our Donors we have GREAT NEWS!

CAR T CELL THERAPY RECEIVES FDA APPROVAL: Curing Kids Cancer has helped fund a ground-breaking immunotherapy, which takes T-cells from a child's own immune system and re-engineers them using a virus so that the T-cells recognize and kill the leukemia cells. This amazing therapy is called CAR T Cell Therapy and was created at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. As of August 30, 2017, the FDA has approved CAR T therapy (chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy) for certain pediatric and young adult patients with a form of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), the most common type of leukemia. Congratulations to Dr. Grupp on an amazing accomplishment that will bring a better treatment to children battling cancer.
